Why your breakfast may well be your enemy?
Love to enjoy toast for breakfast? Or perhaps oatmeal? Cereals?
Many “favourite” breakfast foods contain gluten. If you have gluten sensitivity (which most people do have, yet, they don’t know about it), the body is getting your hormones out of whack, and that’s what leads to inflammation and swelling. This then makes you “hold on to fat”, which causing difficulties to burn the fat off, therefore difficulties to lose weight.
Solution:
- If you are having hormonal imbalances, difficulties losing weight, or having problems losing body fat, try to eliminate gluten for at least 3 months.
- Be aware that gluten is hidden in many sauces, salad dressings, store-bought soups, seasonings, ground spices, rice milks, soy sauce, corn flakes, malt extracts, and even many potato chips you buy at the restaurants (the potato chips are more often than not coated in flour/gluten for the extra kick of making you keep loving them and coming back for them) # true story 😄 + there are many whole foods that contain gluten naturally!
- To help your body break down the fat you need to address your cellular health, hidden chronic inflammation, as well as include digestive enzymes that help with fat digestion and absorption.
Those are ox bile, lipase and amylase. Finding digestive enzymes with all three of these components will help the absorption while you improve also your overall gut health.
What to have for breakfast if most of the foods you like contain gluten?
How about trying eggs and bacon, eggs with avocado, eggs and sweet potato with spinach, or even a leftover stew or any other meal from the day before?
When the days are warm enough, fruits will do. How about trying my exceptionally delicious and nutritious “Epic raw vegan apple pie“?
The possibilities are endless, all you have to do is to think “outside of the box”.
And perhaps sometimes it is a good idea to skip the breakfast altogether 😉
Much Love,
Kristina
